The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred this morning at the 7-Eleven store on Ashburn Road.
Shortly after 4 a.m., two armed men entered the store. One suspect, armed with a handgun, went to the counter and demanded cash from the cashier. The second suspect remained at the door with his weapon also pointed at the clerk. The suspects fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Both suspects were described as black males. They were dressed in black with their faces partially covered. The first suspect was described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall and was wearing a black and white mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, black gloves and black and grey shoes. The second subject was described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, and wearing all black.
Detectives are working with the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force to determine whether the robbery is related to similar cases in the Washington, DC, area.
