Two men were charged with malicious wounding following two separate incidences Sunday, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
The first involved a domestic-related dispute between two family members. About 12:30 a.m., deputies responded to the 43500 block Golden Meadow Circle in Ashburn after one of the family members, Joshua M. Testa, allegedly assaulted another with a knife.
Testa, 37, of Ashburn was charged with malicious wounding. The victim declined medical treatment at the scene but later arrived at a local hospital for treatment, the sheriff’s office report stated. Testa remains held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
The second incident took place about 12:40 a.m. Sunday on the 1200 block of Chase Heritage Circle in Sterling. A male victim was assaulted by a known subject, according to the sheriff’s office.
The suspect, 30-year-old Nelson A. Torres, of Sterling was located by responding deputies and charged with malicious wounding. He remains held on no bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. The victim was taken to an area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
