There has been a heavy law enforcement presence at the Virginia Regional Transit building in Purcellville most of the day.
Access to the facility has been blocked by orange cones and several law enforcement vehicles since this morning and was still blocked just before 5 p.m. today. Two of the cars were Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office vehicles, and several were black, unmarked cars.
A Purcellville Police Department officer confirmed that just before 9 a.m. today the FBI requested a search warrant for a property on Bailey Lane. VRT is at 109 N. Bailey Lane.
Glen Barbour, spokesman with Loudoun County, also said that he was aware of FBI presence in Purcellville but he was unaware of the location or nature of the investigation. He said he had been assured there are no public safety concerns.
This is a developing story and more will be reported as it is learned.
