Report: Deputy Injured in Sterling Brawl

Three people face criminal charges following an early morning fight outside a Sterling restaurant Sunday.

According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called just after 2 a.m. to break up a fight in the Lake Center Plaza parking lot.

During the incident, a deputy was grabbed and was injured. Donald J. Thomas, 21, of Ashburn, was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct and drunk in public.

A second subject was charged with drunk in public and disorderly conduct and a third subject was charged with drunk in public.
