Armed Robber Hits Leesburg Hotel

The Leesburg Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened Saturday night at the Days Inn.

Just before 8 p.m., a man wearing black clothing with his face partially covered, entered the lobby of the East Market Street hotel and threatened the clerk with a firearm. He fled the hotel on foot after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect was described as a white man, 20 to 25 years old, having blue or green eyes. He was wearing a black long sleeve shirt/hoodie that may have displayed the word “Light” in white writing in cursive letters on the left breast with no logo, blue jeans, and gray sneakers with a white zig-zag logo. The suspect was wearing socks on his hands. Police released photos of the suspect from surveillance a video.
