Fatal Rt. 28 Crash Under Investigation

A Herndon man was killed Monday in an early morning crash on Rt. 28 in Loudoun County.

According to Virginia State Police, the crash happened just after 2 a.m. when a Mitsubishi Montero was traveling north on the highway and exited onto eastbound Old Ox Road. The driver, Enerelt Khosbayar, 28, lost control and the vehicle ran off the left side of the road, striking a guardrail and rolling over several times.

Police said Khosbayar was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the SUV. He was transported to Reston Hospital, where he died later that day.

Virginia State Police Trooper J.W. Foutz Jr. is investigating the crash.
