Leesburg Man Dies in Car Crash

A Leesburg man was killed in crash on Riverside Parkway last night.

According to Virginia State Police, Ali Tabasi, 59, was driving a 2000 Toyota Corolla that ran off the left side of the road, crossed the median and the oncoming travel lanes before striking a tree.

The crash happened at 10 p.m., one mile west of Helix Drive.

Tabasi was transported to Inova Loudoun Hospital, where he later died.

He was not wearing a seat belt, police said.

Trooper C.M. Baez-Salcedo is investigating the crash.
