Cooley Gallery Reopens in New Space

Just in time for last-minute gift shopping, the Cooley Gallery has re-opened at its new location, 9 N. King St. in downtown Leesburg.
Following a year of renovations to the building purchased by the popular former Redskins tight end, the new gallery space quietly opened earlier this month. The walls are adorned with pottery and paintings, many created by Chris Cooley and displaying his 47 uniform number.
In addition to the artwork sales, the gallery plans a roster of classes beginning next year. While the operation gears up, the best way to learn about the gallery hours and scheduled classes is on its Facebook page and other social media offerings.
Look for the gallery’s former space on South King Street to reopen as an oyster bar in early 2016.
