The vehicle became disabled and crashed into a deputy’s patrol car. The cruiser received minor damage.
The suspect, Mitchell G. Brandt, 21, was taken into custody after a brief struggle and charged with auto theft, assault on law enforcement, obstruction of justice, eluding, DUI and possession of narcotics. He was released on a $15,000 bond. He is scheduled for a March 3 hearing in Loudoun County District Court.
