The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office announced today that the suspect in the May 20, 2014, attempted robbery of a Sugarland Run convenience store was arrested on New Year’s Day.
Investigators charged Tashima D. Jones, 35, of no fixed address, in the crime.
During the robbery, a masked suspect entered the High-Up convenience store on Sugarland Run Drive demanded cash. When the clerk did not respond, a struggle ensued before the suspect fled the store.
Jones was identified as a suspect and a warrant was obtained for her arrest in February 2015. She was located in Leesburg on Friday and arrested.
Jones was held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. A preliminary hearing in Loudoun County District Court is scheduled for Feb. 17.
