The Loudoun County Planning Commission reelected Jeff Salmon (Dulles) as its chairman at its first meeting of the year Tuesday, January 12.
Salmon said he hopes to provide “good, thoughtful recommendations” to the new board of supervisors.
The commission elected Robert Klancher (Ashburn) as vice chairman. Salmon said that although this year the decision was to keep the same chairman for continuity in the planning commission as the new board comes into office, very often the vice chairman will be elected chairman the following year. Salmon pointed out the next chairman will likely have to guide the planning commission through comprehensive plan revisions.
“Bob’s probably the rock star when it comes to making sure we get through that,” Salmon said.
