Loudoun continues to hold its position as Virginia’s fastest growing jurisdiction. From July 2014 to July 2015, the county’s population grew at more than 1,000 people per month—as it has since 1998.
Since the completion of the 2010 Census, Loudoun added 62,140 people to reached a total population of 374,451, according to data, published Jan. 27 by the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service. Fairfax County, Virginia’s largest jurisdiction with 1.1 million residents, added only 47,604 people during the period. Prince William County added 41,461 residents, bringing its total population to 443,463.
Loudoun is Virginia’s fourth largest jurisdiction, behind Fairfax County, Prince William County and the City of Virginia Beach (443,463).
