Loudoun County School Board members Jeff Morse (Dulles) and Beth Huck (At Large) welcome the public to a Town Hall at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at Mercer Middle School.
The meeting will be a chance to discuss the severe overcrowding at Dulles South middle schools and potential courses of action.
Morse will present a summary of enrollment and capacity concerns and mitigation options. Mercer Middle School Principal Bob Phillips will provide an overview of how potential courses of action would be carried out. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
The town hall is in advance of the School Board’s upcoming review of middle school and high school boundaries across the Brambleton and Dulles areas. Attendance boundaries will have to be redrawn ahead of the opening of middle school MS-9 in 2017 and high school HS-11 in 2019.
Mercer Middle School is at 42149 Greenstone Drive in Aldie.
