Suspect in Sterling Shooting Apprehended

A Sterling woman wanted in connection with a domestic shooting this morning is now in custody.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office had asked for the public’s help in locating Emily C. King, 23. She was located this afternoon by the Prince William County Police Department at a grocery store in Nokesville.

King has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony. She is being held without bond at the Loudoun Adult Detention Center.

The incident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. April 14 when King reportedly shot an adult male during an altercation at a  East Dartmouth Drive home. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries described as serious but not life-threatening.
