Belfort Furniture teamed up with the YMCA Loudoun County as the corporate sponsor for the 24th Annual Golf Classic. This was Belfort’s 12th year sponsoring the event.
The tournament was held May 19 at the Loudoun Golf and Country Club in Purcellville. Attracting more than 130 golfers this year, the event raised a record $77,000 to support the YMCA’s “Caring for Community” initiative. The funds raised will provide a two-week summer camp scholarship for more than 200 underprivileged children in Loudoun County. In addition, the funds will support families in need of quality after school programs.
Since Belfort Furniture became the corporate sponsor in 2004, the company has helped raising more than $600,000 for the YMCA Loudoun County.
“Once again, we are greatly indebted to Mike and Kristi Huber and their business partners for their continued support of the YMCA. As more and more Loudoun County families find it challenging to make ends meet, the Huber’s generous spirit touches the hearts and lives of so many in our community,” stated, Laura Fears, the executive director of YMCA Loudoun County.
“It’s a collaborative effort between our company, our vendors and suppliers, and local businesses,” stated Belfort CEO Michael Huber. “We are honored, again, to partner with the YMCA to support their initiatives in our community. Strong and stable families begin with a solid foundation at home. Supporting hardworking parents and their children in the community in which we live and work benefits all of us.”
