Members of the South Riding Women in Business held their first charity gala June 5 at the Briar Patch Bed and Breakfast.
The event featured a crowd in derby-style dress and hats celebrating and raising awareness of the Dulles South Food Pantry.
The event was sponsored by several area businesses, including J Beauty Studio, KR Construction, Lisa Alonso with Keller Williams Realty, Casey’s Automotive, Derek Jasper-Mentalist, South Riding Chiropractic and Britto Orthodontics. Derek Jasper and DJ Sam Franklin provided entertainment, while Heart2Heart Catering provided the treats.
“We are grateful for the support of South Riding Women in Business and to the businesses who sponsored the gala,” said Charlene Stoker Jones, president of the Dulles South Food Pantry. “The funds raised will help the pantry provide fresh and nutritious food to the families who need assistance in the Dulles South community. It is wonderful to see support for the pantry in the community.”
