Letter: Ron Campbell, Leesburg

Editor: It is a sad day in America in our homes, deep within our hearts, for our family and friends whom we have lost.

I, like you, wonder why we allow this madness to continue.

As Americans we have proven our resolve when we have been attacked and today is another opportunity for Americans to raise their collective voices against hate and violence. Our President and national elected leaders have taken an oath to protect America from enemies both foreign and domestic. So, as American citizens what is our obligation?

Our outrage should result in prayer and in actions that promote solidarity.

I call upon all in Leesburg to fly the American flag outside their homes and to also fly the Rainbow flag in honor and respect of those Americans who lost their lives today.

I pray for peace and comfort for the families of those who lost their lives and I will share my love and support by flying the Rainbow flag.
