Compassionate Beginnings, owned and operated by Kimberley L. Berlin, opened an alcohol and substance abuse counseling center in downtown Leesburg.
The company provides individual recovery-focused counseling using an integrated approach to long-term sobriety with a 12-step foundation. The center is certified in structured family recovery and treats family members affected by the disease of addiction.
The center also offers comprehensive substance abuse evaluations for security clearances and Department of Transportation and Substance Abuse Professional services.
A Community Meditation Group is facilitated weekly on Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m., focused on mindfulness techniques to reduce stress and improve overall health and wellness. Monthly workshops are offered to support long-term recovery strategies.
