ProJet Aviation Accepts Scholarship Applications

Organizers of the ProJet Aviation’s Aviation Education & Career Expo have announced its 2016 Aviation Education Scholarship Contest.

The awards program will give out a total of $137,250 in scholarships and six awards for flight training classes, with the largest single scholarship being the Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology, for $40,000.

“This money is life changing to many students. We rely completely on corporate funds and donations to make this day happen,” ProJet Aviation’s Julie O’Brien, co-founder of the event, stated.

Young people 16 to 22 years old are encouraged to apply. Download an application at scholarship packet at and email it, along with an essay, to by Oct. 7.

In its 11th year, the expo is scheduled for Friday. Oct. 28, at the Leesburg Executive Airport. The free event is designed to give young people a glimpse of interesting careers in aviation and aerospace. Learn more at
