Driver Charged after Loudoun School Bus Crash

A Harper’s Ferry woman who crashed while attempting to pass a school bus Tuesday morning faces a reckless driving charge.

According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, she was driving was driving a 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit southbound on Harper’s Ferry Road when she attempted to pass a moving school bus. She clipped the driver’s side front wheel, went up an embankment, and struck a tree.

She declined medical treatment at the scene. The driver of the school bus and nine student passengers were not injured.
