Missing Ashburn Woman Found Safe; Aide Charged

An early morning search for a woman with dementia resulted in a criminal charge against her caregiver.

According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to Cardinal Pond Terrace in Ashburn around midnight to investigate the missing person report. It was determined that the aide waited about one hour before making the report and also that she had made contradicting statements to deputies during the search.

The missing woman was found safe.

Judy Y. Bray Martin, 46, of Fairfax, was charged with obstruction of justice and released on personal recognizance bond.
