Loudoun County Public Schools’ new Academy of Engineering & Technology has four upcoming information sessions. The sessions are for current eighth grade students and will be held on the following dates: 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Rock Ridge High School; Thursday, Sept. 29, at Park View High School; Monday, Oct. 3, at Tuscarora High School; and Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Blue Ridge Middle School.
The Academy of Engineering & Technology will be part of the new Academies of Loudoun program. It is housed at Tuscarora High School until the Academies of Loudoun campus opens in 2018.
AET’s mission is to provide academic STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) pathways for students to study engineering, entrepreneurship and information technologies. Students will follow an integrated STEM course of study in one of three curricular pathways: information technology, engineering or entrepreneurship.
