Today is the Deadline for Voter Registration

The deadline to register to vote in the November election is 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17. If you are registering to vote by mail, the application must be postmarked no later than that date.

Voters may also check their voter registration or submit a registration at vote.virginia.gov.

In-person voter registration is available through Monday at the Loudoun County Voter Registration and Elections Office at 750 Miller Drive SE Suite C, Leesburg, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition, absentee balloting for the general election is under way at the same location, Monday through Friday through Oct. 21.

Beginning Oct. 24, the hours for absentee voting will be extended through 8 p.m. weekdays. Absentee voting will be available at the office on Saturday, Oct. 29, and Saturday, Nov. 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.  From Oct. 24 through Nov. 4, absentee voting also will take place at the Cascades Senior Center, 21060 Whitfield Place and the Dulles South Multipurpose Center, 24950 Riding Center Drive, Monday through Friday, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The deadline for voters to apply to have an absentee ballot mailed to them is 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1. The last day to cast an absentee ballot in person is Saturday, Nov. 5.
