With the battle for Virginia’s 13 electoral votes tightening, Republican nominee Donald J. Trump will make a second campaign stop in Loudoun on Sunday.
The campaign has announced plans for a rally at the Loudoun County Fairgrounds west of Leesburg at 9:30 p.m. tomorrow.
Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. Those wishing to attend may register for tickets at the campaign website: https://www.donaldjtrump.com/schedule/register/leesburg-va/
Last month, Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump held a rally in Sterling.
Trump’s Leesburg rally is scheduled to be his fifth of the day. Tonight, Trump is campaigning in Denver. In the morning, he plans to be in Sioux City, IA, at noon; Minneapolis, MN, at 2 p.m.; Sterling Heights, MI, at 6 p.m.; and Moon Township , PA, outside Pittsburg at 8 p.m.
On Monday, Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Tim Kaine also will return to Virginia for campaign rallies at George Mason University in Fairfax and in Richmond on Monday.
Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, who made one visit to Loudoun in May, held a substantial lead in Virginia through the summer and fall. However, the commonwealth has returned to the list of swing states in play in recent weeks as Trump closed the gap in the wake of renewed controversy over Clinton’s use of a private email server while serving as secretary of state.
