Another new shop will celebrate its grand opening this weekend at the Crescent Place.
Studio Twenty8Fifty7 is a venture by the wives of two former Washington Redskins players. Jewell Green, the wife of Darrell Green, and Janice Harvey, the wife of Ken Harvey, are combining their two home-based businesses to open their first shop together. The owners of Posh Couture and Janice Harvey Designs, respectively, Green and Harvey are merging to create an “experience-based concept store” that combines both women’s clothing and home décor, according to a press release. The store’s name is a tribute to their husband’s former jersey numbers: Hall of Famer Green wore 28, and Harvey 57.
The public is invited to attend the grand opening celebration from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7. Both former Redskins will be on hand for meet and greets with their fans, and artists from Bobbi Brown Cosmetics will offer makeup sessions. The shop is located at 450 Madison Place SE.
