The suspect in at least 16 Massachusetts bank robberies was arrested at Dulles Airport on Saturday as he attempted to board a flight to Johannesburg, South Africa, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Known as the Incognito Bandit, Albert Taderera, 36, of Brighton, MA, is suspected of a series of bank robberies since 2015. The most recent was March 5 in Acton, MA. In February 2016, the federal task force investigating the thefts doubled to $20,000 the reward offered for information leading to his arrest.
