St. James’ Service to Honor Pets

St. James’ Episcopal Church in Leesburg is planning a night to commemorate pets April 4.

In its ninth year, the program is designed to provide comfort to families by celebrating the lives of their past pets or those pets that have been separated from them. The service includes music, readings, and inspirational words. All human family members are invited to attend, but please leave any four-legged friends at home.

One of the most celebrated portions of the ceremony is the Roll of Honor, a slide show and reading of the names of pet angels. Photos may be submitting electronically in .jpeg format to candle@wholisticpawsvet.com by March 27. Your pet may be included even if you cannot attend the service. Keepsake CDs will be made available after the ceremony.

Parking for the service can be found in the St. James lot located on North St. or in the lot for the Senior Center of Leesburg, 102 North St. NW.
