Bradley Dean Curl, 77 years old, of Taylorstown, VA died peacefully, Weds March 29, 2:55 AM at St. Stephen’s Memorial in St. Augustine, FL with family & caring staff close.
Only son of Orva and Avery Curl, he was born in Riverside, CA. and graduated from Palo Alto High. After completing a one year program in the Coast Guard, he attended Oklahoma University, the Academie Americain program at the Sorbonne and graduated from American University. He ran an art gallery in D.C for many years, selling original work as well as that of other artists. His heart, however, was always in Christian ministry where among many things, he worked to build relationships through various men’s fellowship groups, ran a half-way house for street kids of the 1970’s, created Athletes & Business for Kids—where he sought to bridge a gap in society to children living in the inner-city and worked to create a better media environment that was safer for all children.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Stevens Curl of Taylorstown, VA, his children, Jenny Gornto, Aimee Curl, Wendy Layland, Joshua Curl and Chris Curl, their spouses and seven grandchildren as well as the youth he impacted through his ministry. Memorial Service will be Sunday, 4/23, 2PM at Bethany United Methodist Church in Purcellville, VA.
