Outdoor Fire Ban Imposed in Loudoun

Effective today, an open burning ban has been placed into effect for all of Loudoun County.

The Virginia Department of Forestry has ruled that current conditions are such that fire danger is high and fires could start easily from most causes.

The conditions will be re-evaluated on Monday, April 17 and a decision made by noon to extend or rescind the open burning ban.

For questions or additional information about open burning, contact the Loudoun County Fire Marshal’s Office at 703-737-8600 or go to loudoun.gov/firemarshal.
