On the Calendar: Easter Weekend Means Egg Hunts, Bunny Sightings

For those who haven’t gotten their egg hunt on yet this year, it’s not too late.

There are at least three opportunities Saturday to get out and celebrate the Easter holiday and the beginning of spring.

From 10 a.m. to noon, visit the historic Morven Park gardens to enjoy games, crafts, egg hunts and an egg roll down the Davis Mansion lawn. Meet rabbits from the 4-H Leaps and Squeaks Rabbit Club and take a family photo with the Easter Bunny in the garden. Admission is $10 for children 2-12 and $5 for adults. Families are asked to register in advance at morvenpark.org.

Also Saturday, Lovettsville hosts its Eggstravaganza. From 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the free event on the town’s green will feature egg hunts in four age groups, egg toss, crafts and games.

Plus, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Ebenezer Church in Neersville will host its Easter Extravaganza. The free event includes an egg hunt, games and crafts. It all takes place at the church, at 11762 Harpers Ferry Road.
