The Loudoun County business community will gather at The National in Lansdowne on Thursday to honor 107 individuals, including a record 20 civilians, for heroic actions during the past year.
It is the 32nd year for Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Valor Awards presentation.
“It is a privilege to honor these remarkable first responders and citizens for their acts of Valor and dedication to the safety and security of our community,” stated Loudoun Chamber President Tony Howard. “Every day of the year, our law enforcement and fire and safety personnel put on a uniform and dedicate themselves to keeping Loudoun County safe and prosperous. It is important that the Loudoun County business community take this one day to say, ‘Thank You’ to these real-life heroes for all they do for our community.”
The chamber also will present the Stu Plitman First Responder Community Service Award to honor emergency first responders who demonstrate the highest commitment to fostering positive relationships with the community in ways that enhance the safety and security of county residents.
Tickets for the luncheon banquet are for sale at loudounchamber.org. Residents and businesses also may support first responders by purchasing Benefactor Tables that provide seats for the honorees and their family members.
The event runs from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. The National is located at 18980 Upper Belmont Place in Lansdowne.
