Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office investigators have charged a Maryland man with driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol following a tractor-trailer crash that snarled Rt. 7 traffic Tuesday afternoon.
According to the report, Richard M, Davini II was driving the tractor trailer loaded with mulch westbound on Rt. 7 near Clarkes Gap just before 1 p.m. when the truck struck a guardrail and ran up an embankment and rolled on its side. Witnesses said he was driving erratically before the crash.
