German-inspired 7-Eleven Opens in Lovettsville

In an event celebrated with free slurpees, the new 7-Eleven store reopened on Broad Way in Lovettsville today.

The convenience store was razed last year to make way for a large store and gas pumps. After extensive negotiations with town leaders, the plans were approved with the store featuring germanic architectural features, designed to blend with the nearby Town Center commercial center and to reflect the town’s “German Settlement” heritage.

The project also featured a bicycle station with includes a picnic pavilion, tire pump and bike repair tools.
