StoneSprings Hospital Center announced that it has earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Heart-Check mark for Advanced Certification for Primary Stroke Centers.
“The certification provides us with the opportunity to highlight the exceptional stroke care we provide as well as to continually strive to advance our care even further,” stated Dr. Christopher Crowell, medical director of the Emergency Department.
As part of the certification, StoneSprings Hospital Center underwent an onsite review on July 14. Joint Commission experts evaluated compliance with stroke-related standards and requirements, including program management, the delivery of clinical care and performance improvement.
“Led by Dr. Crowell, this achievement is a direct reflection of the hard work by our medical staff and associates and their continued commitment to providing the highest level of care for our community,” StoneSprings CEO Lance Jones stated.
