Investigators from the Loudoun County Fire Marshal’s Office have determined fire that destroyed a Lucketts-area home on Tuesday was intentionally set. The Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the death of a person found inside.
The fire occurred on Steed Hill Lane. Investigators say the fire appeared to have started with ignitable liquids on the second floor. The home was ruled a total loss with damages estimated at $425,000.
Sheriff’s Office investigators are awaiting an autopsy report from the Office of the Medical Examiner.
