The Evergreen Lacrosse Club has added Dylan Maltz to the ELC travel staff.
Coach Maltz recently graduated from the University of Maryland after winning the National Championship this past spring. He started for the Terps for the past three years at the attack position after spending his freshman season at Syracuse University. He finished his collegiate career with 72 goals, 21 assists and 56 ground balls.
“He is a phenomenal player on the field and is an exceptional coach,” said Ricky Reyes, Evergreen Lacrosse Club’s technical director. “He has the unique ability to easily transfer his knowledge of the game to younger athletes and is always actively coaching the players up—something that we hold very high here at Evergreen. We know that Dylan will help us take yet another step in the right direction in making this club the premiere developmental lacrosse club in Virginia.”
Maltz, Stone Bridge High School alumni, was ranked as the number six incoming attackman out of high school. He finished his career with the Bulldogs as the record holder in goals (190), assists (130), points (320) and ground balls (198). He was also a 2013 Under Armour All-American, a 2013 US Lacrosse All-American, 1st Team All-Met, 4x All-Liberty District, 3x All-Region, 2x Team MVP and 2x Offensive Player of the Year.
“It’s great to be home, back here in Loudoun County where I can help mold, encourage and shape the next generation of lacrosse players,” Maltz stated. “I’m excited to be part of an amazing team at Evergreen Lacrosse and coach among the best coaches in the area.”
Maltz will be on hand when the Run DMC Lacrosse Clinic returns to the Evergreen Sportsplex on Saturday, Oct. 21. The clinic features 2017 Tewaaraton Winner Matt Rambo and Maltz’s National Champion line-mate Colin Heacock.
