A Herndon teenager has been charged in connection with the burglary of a Sterling residence last week.
According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, the 15-year-old was identified and apprehended Tuesday night.
He was observed by the victim around 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, entering her home in the 1300 block of E. Lee Road. The suspect reportedly opened the kitchen window and leaned in halfway through the window. The suspect moved further through the window and inappropriately touched the female and threw items at her prior to leaving the area. The victim was not physically injured during the incident.
The teen has been charged with felony burglary, misdemeanor sexual assault, and misdemeanor simple assault. The name of the suspect was not released because he is a minor.
He remains held at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.
