The Loudoun Literacy Council has announced Ara H. Bagdasarian as the newest member of its board of directors.
Bagdasarian is the CEO and co‐founder of Omnilert, a leading developer of communications technologies that keeps communities safe and connected. He also co‐authored “The Lemonade Stand,” a book on entrepreneurship which won the 2012 Small Business Book Award. He has served on Leesburg’s Economic Development Commission, was the president of the Loudoun Symphony Orchestra, and is a founding board member of the Loudoun Center for the Arts. He has also been struck by lightning—literally while in his car and intellectually as a champion of harnessing great ideas into something real and tangible.
