Ivanka Trump, the president’s daughter, will make an appearance at Middleburg Community Charter School tomorrow morning.
Trump will be joined by Code.org CEO Hadi Partovi and executives from Microsoft. They are expected to tout the memo President Donald J. Trump signed Monday that directs $200 million a year to technology education grants to help women and minorities.
STEM education is expected to be the focus of the guests’ comments, said Wayde Byard, Loudoun public schools’ public information officer.
Middleburg Community Charter School opened in 2014 as the first public charter school in Northern Virginia. It uses a “STEAM-focused” curriculum, which stands for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
