A Prince William County man was struck and killed early this morning on Sycolin Road south of Leesburg.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened at around 1:40 a.m. Nov. 18, near Gourley Transit Drive.
According to the preliminary investigation, the man was walking in the southbound lane of the roadway when he was hit by a Toyota Land Cruiser.
The driver, an Ashburn man, remained on scene.
The victim, a 27-year-old man from Bristow, died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation and anyone with any information is asked to contact Sheriff’s Office Investigator D. Lake at 703-737-8307.
It was the 20th death on Loudoun roadways this year and the second highway fatality this week.
