The National Conference Center in Lansdowne has been awarded its seventh meeting and tourism award for 2017. Northstar Meetings Group awarded The National Conference Center the 2017 Stella Award for “Best in Class” Conference Centers.
The Stella Awards, honoring excellence in the meetings industry, recognize suppliers that consistently deliver quality service and innovation to meetings and events worldwide. The Stella Awards is a new, comprehensive program that redefines how excellence in the meetings industry is identified and celebrated.
Northstar Meetings Group, which publishes Successful Meetings and Meetings & Conventions, bestowed honors in 18 categories and among six regions this month in the Stella Awards. Finalists were determined by industry professionals irrespective of nominees’ advertising history during an open voting period.
“Team National is honored to receive this prestigious award and we are very much aware of the importance of referral business and online reviews. This award solidifies our commitment to excellence and a work ethic of ‘Never Quit’, as voters have stated,” stated Geoff Lawson, vice president and general manager of The National Conference Center.
The National is the largest conference center in Virginia with 265,000 square feet of meeting and event space. It has been under new management since 2014.
