Leesburg Police Spread Holiday Cheer

The Leesburg Police Department held its annual Holidays with the Cops event on Saturday, taking a group of 14 children out for an evening of dinner and shopping.

Organized by Master Police Officer C. Tidmore, the program included focuses on providing gifts to children whose families may be experiencing difficulties. The Leesburg Diner provided a buffet dinner and then the group went to Target, where each child could buy $200 in gifts.

In addition to the Leesburg Diner and Target, the program was supported by donations from Country GMC, Summit Bank, The Paxton Memorial Trust and the Leesburg Police Citizen Support Team.
