Philomont Fire Dept. Donates Engine to Aid Hurricane Harvey Recovery

The Philomont Volunteer Fire Department recently donated its 16-year-old KME Engine to the Port Aransas Fire Department to help replace a response vehicle damaged during Hurricane Harvey.

Chief Rick Pearsall and Assistant Chief Pete West drove the engine to the Texas coastal city, covering 1,600 miles in 27 hours.

The donation was made through the Texas A&M Forest Service Helping Hands Program.
