Loudoun County students have a lengthy winter break this year—18 days with no school. That has parents looking for ways to help their kids ward off cabin fever.

Ida Lee Rec Center’s Winter Break Camp kicked off this week to provide kids with some out-of-the-house fun. The camp invites campers to do crafts, swim and play games, like Capture the Flag.

The break is so long because teachers wanted to use some of their 10 weeks of vacation over Christmas since they can be home to watch their kids. Of course LCPS couldn’t care less this puts working families with limited vacation days in a bind. So it is with our entitled school board looking out for themselves (4 have LCPS spouses).
