It’s Not a Snow Day, but Too Cool for School

Loudoun County Public Schools will be closed Friday because of safety concerns related to extreme cold temperatures and high winds.

The concern is that students walking to school and waiting at bus stops would be exposed to dangerous conditions, which are expected to be particularly harsh in western Loudoun.

A decision on whether to continue with after-school and extracurricular activities will be made by noon.

This is the second weather related school closing of 2018.
