LCSO: Loudoun Girl Assaulted on Walk Home from School

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who allegedly assaulted a girl walking home from school yesterday.

Detectives have released a composite sketch of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance to help identify a man captured on home surveillance video who was in the area at the time of the assault.

The victim said she was on a walking path near Wrightwood Place around 4 p.m. Jan. 3 when she saw a man who appeared to be jogging. He grabbed the girl and touched her inappropriately. The suspect fled when the victim screamed.

The suspect was described 25 to 30-years-old, approximately 5-feet, 5-inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing shorts with black tights underneath, a black jacket and a hat.

The incident was reported around 4:15 p.m. and deputies responding to the scene established a perimeter to search the area with the assistances of a K9 Unit but the suspect was not located.
