Gunman Strikes Ashburn Gas Station

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying the suspect involved in an armed robbery early this morning at a Sunoco station in Ashburn.

Around 1:34 a.m., a male entered the gas station at the Ashburn Shopping Plaza armed with a handgun. The suspect stole cash from the clerk and then fled on foot. No injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as a white male approximately 5-feet, 5-inches to 5-feet, 8-inches tall, wearing a blue jacket with a hood with an emblem on the left breast area, a yellow hoodie under the outer jacket, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes.

Surveillance video stills of the suspect were obtained from the business.

    This will continue until the cameras are placed at eye-level, not way up in the ceiling where they are of no use at all.
