The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that happened last night south of Purcellville.
According to the report, the driver of a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta was northbound on Silcott Springs Road and attempted to pass a 2010 Toyota Tundra at about 9:40 p.m. Tuesday. During the pass, the Jetta driver lost control, went off the road and struck a fence and a tree. The driver died at the scene.
The drivers was identified as Albert J. Bosco III of Nokesville.
The crash remains under investigation.
It was the first fatal crash in Loudoun in 2018, and the second on Silcott Springs Road in the past year.
