The holiday season’s smash hit, Fa La La pop-up bar, is rebranding for the New Year.
Husband-and-wife team Nils and Olivia Schnibbe recently announced that the pop-up bar will be rebranding to 14 Loudoun, aptly named after its address. The name change also comes with a fresh look for the restaurant space including a renovated patio and outdoor dining area. A heated tent will also be going up Feb. 27, until the warm weather permanently returns.
“When we selected Fa La La last November we had no idea the success and support we would have,” Olivia Schnibbe said. “From that point on we knew we wanted to make the space a permanent home for us. The name change will work with every pop-up theme we have.”
The next “pop-up” for the space will be St. Patrick’s Day themed, and will open Thursday, March 1, with live music the following evening during First Friday festivities. On St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 17, 14 Loudoun and its sister restaurant SideBar, located on South King Street, will host the Leprachaun Loop. The daylong event will feature games, drinks, food and music, alternating at both locations.
The St. Patrick’s Day theme will be the final pop-up at 14 Loudoun for the time being. In addition to running and beginning other restaurant ventures in the area, the Schnibbes are anticipating the arrival of their baby boy. With the pop-ups on hiatus for the warmer months, 14 Loudoun will focus on live music and fun, Olivia Schnibbe said.
