Hundreds Hunt for Easter Eggs at Ida Lee

Hundreds of enthusiastic Easter egg hunters descended on the fields near Ida Lee Park Recreation Center in Leesburg Saturday to fill their baskets.

Young revelers at the Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department’s 26th Annual Easter Egg Hunt picked up eggs with candy and prizes, met the Easter Bunny, and played in moon bounce houses, inflatable obstacle courses and inflatable slides.

This year, the Easter Bunny hid more than 15,000 eggs, with hunts divided up into four age groups ranging from one-year-olds to six-year-olds. Wet weather earlier in the week that forced a last minute relocation did not stop the crowds from coming out.
